Meet Donna Medina | Clinical Exercise Physiologist in Vallejo, CA

There’s a difference between working out and using exercise with a purpose.
As a Board-Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist, I often work with people who are dealing with more than a fitness goal.
Maybe you’re preparing for surgery and want to build strength and capacity beforehand through prehabilitation.
Maybe you’ve completed cardiac, pulmonary, or physical rehabilitation and need help continuing to rebuild afterward.
Maybe arthritis is changing how you move. Maybe your endurance isn’t what it used to be. Or maybe you’re managing a chronic or progressive condition and know movement could help, but you’re not sure what’s appropriate anymore.
That’s where my work comes in.
I use evidence-based exercise to help improve physiological capacity and physical function, prepare the body for upcoming challenges, rebuild after rehabilitation, manage symptoms, and preserve strength, mobility, and independence.
I also work directly with cardiopulmonary clinics, helping patients safely build and maintain capacity as part of their continued care.
Prehab. Post-rehab. Chronic conditions. General physical fitness.
Different needs, but the goal is the same: build capacity and preserve function.
It goes beyond workouts.
